Our Community Development Services aim to foster meaningful engagement among community members. We work collaboratively with each individual to identify opportunities that align with their unique goals and preferences, offering services tailored to their needs. This service not only fosters skill development and independence but also promotes social integration, teaches appropriate social behaviors, and equips individuals with advocacy skills essential for active participation in their communities. Additionally, our support program provides individuals with the skills and resources needed to explore volunteering or internship opportunities, both paid and unpaid, across various locations.

The Scope of Service:

EBBY Healthcare Services, Inc. prioritizes providing opportunities for skill acquisition and independence in community integration. We offer transportation to and from events, along with staff guidance on preferred transportation routes. Our staffing plan ensures compliance with DDA regulations, guaranteeing sufficient personnel to meet individual needs and adhere to personalized care plans.

Staffing and Training:

EBBY Healthcare Services, Inc. is committed to adhering to DDA regulations by implementing a comprehensive staffing plan that meets the needs outlined in each individual’s Person-Centered Plan (PCP). Our rigorous procedure ensures compliance with training standards and mandates that all personnel meet DDA requirements without any criminal record, guaranteeing the highest quality of care for those we serve. The agency shall guarantee that all personnel employed by or under contract with the agency, as well as volunteers who provide direct support services or spend time alone with a participant, satisfy the following minimal requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Hold current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Possess a GED or high school diploma.
  • Pass a criminal background check and any other background checks and qualifications that may be necessary.
  • Before providing independent services, DDA-required training must be completed. Unlicensed direct support professional employees who administer medicine or carry out delegation nursing activities as part of this Waiver service must be certified as medication technicians by the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) unless the participant and his or her medication administration or nursing tasks qualify for exclusion (DDA).
  • Possessing a valid driver’s license if operating a vehicle is a requirement for providing services.
  • Possess car insurance for any owned, leased, and/or rented autos utilized for service delivery.

Setting and Location :

EBBY Healthcare Services, Inc. shall provide services in central, southern, eastern, and western Maryland. All the services provided will be in accordance with the DDA standards and guidelines
