Our Personal Support Services (PSS) program is dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental impairments to lead fulfilling lives within their chosen communities. We believe in promoting independence while offering tailored assistance to reduce limitations and enhance overall quality of life. The PSS program is funded through revenues generated by billing services to the Federal Medicaid Waiver Program.

Scope of Service:

Our PSS program encompasses a wide range of supportive programs aimed at fostering community involvement and enhancing skill development. These services include home-based skill development, community integration, and engagement activities such as grocery shopping, volunteering, and utilizing public transit independently. Additionally, our program includes : 

  • Counseling
  • Participating in recreational and social activities.
  • Budgeting; assisting with money management, banking, and tax preparation.
  • Job coaching.
  • Helping an individual to access and complete the participant’s education.
  • Completing homework.
  • Accessing community services.
  • Respite, behavioral, and other services, and support needed by the family of the participant.
  • Grocery shopping and meal preparation
  • The task is to ensure health and safety, including nursing services, medication administration, and assistance with medical appointments.
  • Involve in leisure activities, as well as all aspects of living independently.
  • Housekeeping and home management.

Staffing and Training:

Our program manager ensures staff possess necessary skills and training for person-centered care. Criminal background checks are conducted in accordance with Maryland regulations. Personnel receive education in compliance with relevant standards. Additionally, the agency shall ensure that personnel providing personal support services are educated in compliance with COMAR 10.22.02.11, which includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Seizure disorders
  • Medication administration
  • Principles of behavior modification
  • Management of disruptive behaviors
  • The aging process and the unique requirements of the elderly
  • Community integration and inclusion
  • Individualized, outcome-focused planning for each person.
  • First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), in accordance with the American Red Cross recommendations.
  • Cross or another nationally renowned organization
  • Individuals with developmental impairments and their fundamental rights
  • Communication skills
  • Assisting people and families in decision-making

Setting and Location :

EBBY Healthcare Services, Inc. shall provide services in central, southern, eastern, and western Maryland. All the services provided will be in accordance with the DDA standards and guidelines
