Ebby Healthcare Services Inc. will provide transportation that will enhance the safety of the individuals by ensuring that:
- The development and enforcement of appropriate written safety rules for transportation are followed at all times;
- Proper registration and maintenance vehicles are in a safe condition and in conformity with all applicable laws and any motor vehicle used for transportation;
- Retention of maintenance and repair records on all agency’s owned or leased vehicles used for transportation;
- The availability of a first-aid and OSHA kit in all vehicles used for transportation;
- Compliance with federal and State law to include child restraint.
Ebby Healthcare Services, Inc. will ensure that non-ambulatory individuals receive any necessary medical accommodations during transportation, such as the use of a ramp device or hydraulic lift for emergency entry and exit.

Staffing and Training

Prior to assuming independent duties, including transportation, all our staff undergo mandated DDA training to ensure compliance. This includes training on various aspects such as understanding the aging process, assisting individuals in safe vehicle entry and exit, demonstrating courtesy to passengers, operating motorized lifts, implementing safety measures, managing accidents, handling emergencies, and adhering to protocols in inclement weather or vehicle breakdown scenarios.
